Neighborhood Stabilization
Program
The Neighborhood
Stabilization Program (NSP) was established for the purpose of
stabilizing communities that have suffered from foreclosures and
abandonment.
With funding provided by City and
County governments, the Housing Authority of the County of Kern has
purchased foreclosed homes, completed renovations, then rented them to
qualified families. Under the NSP, families may have an option to
purchase their home after 18 months.
The
attached photos are examples of homes that have been purchased under the
City and County NSP.
